Ring Game Buy-in limits
When buying into a ring game you will be prompted to choose an amount to sit down at the table with. There is always going to be a definitive minimum and maximum amount per stake option we have in the lobby.
We currently use the ratio of 50 Big Blinds minimum and 200 Big Blinds maximum as a general practice for buying into a table.
To illustrate this we will show you what these amounts are for a .5 / 1 (.5 Small Blind / 1 Big Blind) game shown below:
- The minimum buy-in for these stakes will be 50 Chips or 50 Big Blinds since at this stake 1 Chip will equal 1 Big Blind.
- The maximum buy-in for these stakes will be 200 Chips or 200 Big Blinds.
But what if I join a table and I see that my opponent has over 200 Big Blinds already?
This means that your opponent was able to collect over 200 Big Blinds through winning hands at the table prior to you joining. Any player is able to win over the maximum buy-in amount through gameplay they just can't join the table with more than 200 big blinds at the start.
What if I've already been seated at a table and another player joins with over 200 Big Blinds?
In this scenario this player was previously at the table and had won over 200 Big Blinds. If a player leaves a table and rejoins the same one within 30 minutes of leaving it, they will have to buy back in with the same stack they left with.
