Before the battle begins, you must select the cards that will represent you throughout the gauntlet.
Open a Pack: You are presented with a pack of 4 random playing cards from a standard 52-card deck.
Select Hole Cards: Choose 2 cards from the pack to be your permanent hand for the game.
Golden Packs: There is a 20% chance that your pack will be "Golden." Golden packs are guaranteed to contain only high-value cards: Jacks, Queens, Kings, or Aces.
Tip: You can reverse your card choices at any time during the drafting phase until the first battle officially begins.
Once your hand is set, you enter a 3-stage gauntlet against the Poker Royals.
The Royal's Hand: Each Royal drafts their own 2 hole cards from the remaining deck based on their specific character logic.
Community Cards: Five community cards are revealed. These are used to build the best 5-card poker hand for both you and the Royal.
Winning: The best poker hand wins.
Important Note: In the event of a tie, the Royal wins.
Each Royal has a different difficulty level and payout structure.
If you win a battle, you receive a payout based on a multiplier. You then face a choice: Cash out or Continue.
Continuing: To fight the next Royal, you must wager 100% of your winnings from the previous round. You keep your same 2 hole cards, but new community cards are dealt.
Adaptive Multipliers: While the first Royal's multiplier is fixed, subsequent Royals use adaptive multipliers (ranging from 1.20x to 11.74x) based on your hand strength relative to theirs.
| Battle Round | Potential Multiplier Range |
| Battle 1 | 1.34x – 1.70x |
| Battle 2 | 1.20x – 10.31x |
| Battle 3 | 1.20x – 11.74x |
Every bet placed in Poker Duels contributes 1.0% to the Jackpot balance.
How to Win: You must win a battle with either a Four of a Kind or a Straight Flush.
Payout Calculation: Your jackpot winnings are proportional to your bet size relative to the maximum allowable bet.
Connectivity: If you lose your connection, the game pauses. You will rejoin your last active game upon reconnecting. You do not need to be online to receive winnings from a completed round.
Ties: Royals always win ties.
Fresh Decks: Community cards are drawn from a deck that excludes cards already held by you or the Royal.
